Lakeside won the last time they faced Statesboro and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers won by a set and slipped past the Blue Devils 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 20th.

Lakeside can attribute much of their success to Avery Miller, who had 16 assists and nine digs.

Lakeside was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 23 consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Statesboro lost, don't look at Phoebe Hansen. Despite the final result, she had 23 assists and six digs. Hansen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played.

Lakeside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-5 record this season. As for Statesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 28-15.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against South Effingham on the 11th. As for Statesboro, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Greenbrier on the 11th.
