A Season-Best Effort from Deandre Montgomery Leads North Side over South Hills
Deandre Montgomery produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Side to the win on Thursday. Montgomery rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
On the season, Montgomery has averaged 7.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.2 receiving yards per game.

On Friday, Arlington Heights got the W thanks in part to Kaeden Grant playing the best football he has all season. Grant threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
The victory for Arlington Heights keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Grant and Arlington Heights will welcome Saginaw on Thursday.

Arlington Heights Gets a Boost from James in 63-0 Victory
Arlington Heights picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Carson James. Nobody could stop James as he rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Polytechnic's probably not too fond of James given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time James saw the Parrots), he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Jashaun Thomas Delivers Electric Performance Vs Chisholm Trail
Paschal picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jashaun Thomas. Thomas did his part (and then some), throwing for 228 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
This season, Thomas has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 202.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.
