Skelton wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Evansville Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Heritage Hills 57-27. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Evansville Central will have to keep a close watch on Taylor Ellison and Addison Chilton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mt. Vernon's prior game. Ellison posted ten points, while Chilton earned six points and three steals.
Evansville Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.
