Adding to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 2 this week, Peach County beat Pike County 38-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Trojans.
Central fell to Carver 48-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Devon Brown made the biggest impact on defense this week as Southwest fell to Henry County. The 6-foot-2 defensive end forced 1 fumble.
Tyree White was a beast in the backfield as the Patriots fell to the Warhawks.
White provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Southwest fell to Henry County. He completed 9 passes for 149 yards and also ran for 280 yards. White's key target this week was Josh Evans, who caught 3 passes for 52 yards.
Evans was the best receiver in the league this week as Joe Dupree's team lost to Joseph Dupree's team. Evans tallied 3 receptions for 52 yards. Charles Hopkins helped Southwest's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 45 yards.
Peach County's Greg Williams and Tyler Gibson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 1,656 yards this season, while Gibson has 41 catches for 841 yards. Jackson's De'Eric Bell leads the league in rushing yards with 824.
The top two teams in AAA Region 2 will face off this week when first place Carver takes on second place Peach County. Last week, the Tigers defeated the Chargers, while Chad Campbell's team beat the Pirates.
The Trojans' offense has recorded 262 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Carver has permitted only 133 on the year.
