The Anthony Wildcats posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Fort Hancock 62-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Anthony.
Fort Hancock's loss came despite strong showings from Patrick Hernandez and Zaid Hermosillo. Hernandez scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Hermosillo scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Fort Hancock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anthony on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wink at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Wink's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. As for Fort Hancock, they will head out on the road to face off against McCamey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
