Enfield had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt East Hartford on Wednesday.  Cassidy Wallner made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out 11 batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Enfield let  Claire Bouffard and  Emily Lyver run wild. Bouffard  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, eight  RBI,  and three  runs, while  Lyver  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  triple. Those  four  runs gave  Lyver a new career-high.  Maddy Page also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Enfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Hartford only posted  an  OBP of  .333.
The  victory was  the third in a row for Enfield, bringing their record up to 15-4. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Hartford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Enfield will  square off against  rival Glastonbury  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Hartford is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Manchester  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
