The Lexington Tigers lost against the Westview Chargers back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lexington had to suffer through a rough 60-29 loss at the hands of Westview. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lexington has scored all season.
Westview was led to victory by Mccall Sims and Kylee Alexander. Sims scored 19 points, while Alexander scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Brent, who scored six points.
Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Westview, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Lexington will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotts Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scotts Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Westview, they will head out on the road to face off against Huntingdon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Huntingdon is ranked 19th, while Westview is ranked 13th).
