Truckee scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. The matchup between them and the Portola Tigers didn't end well, with the Truckee Wolverines falling 71-55. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Leading Portola to victory were Connor Sheridan and Magnus Berg. Sheridan dropped a double-double on 27 points and 18 boards, while Berg went 6 of 15 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. Sheridan is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 35 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Enrique Vargas, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Truckee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Portola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
