The Edgewater Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Olympia Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Edgewater gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Lake Buena Vista as they made off with a 9-2 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vipers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Isaiah Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for Edgewater: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-5-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sean Baker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Bryson Nicol was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Olympia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Dr. Phillips on Monday.
Olympia also got a great performance from Maven Leman as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Joseph Stone was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Colavecchio, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Edgewater picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6-1. As for Olympia, their record is now 7-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Edgewater has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Olympia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Edgewater came up short against Olympia in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, falling 7-4. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
