Port Gibson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rekiyah Washington led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. Washington continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camara Evans, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Port Gibson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Franklin County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Port Gibson will play host again and welcome Franklin County, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin County is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for they, they will head out on the road to square off against Port Gibson at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Port Gibson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
