Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Shoals Christian Flame walked away with it. They breezed by the Indians at home to the tune of 69-22 on Friday. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for Shoals Christian this season.
Sarah Davis (2025) was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Shoals Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Abby Owens, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Shoals Christian's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Kathryn Husiany got a bit more time on the court (17 vs. her season average of 7.8). Husiany made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Shoals Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Waterloo at 5:30 p.m. Shoals Christian is on a three-game streak of home wins, Waterloo a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
