The Redhawks put the hurt on the Royal Scots with a sharp 14-6 win. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Royal Scots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Maddie Angel was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Emily Tschida was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
South Albany was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Dallas waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Foxes. The game was the first time the Dragons have beaten the Foxes on their field since May 27, 2022.
Madi Ruman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Walls, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Harlow Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
South Albany's record is now 4-9. As for Dallas, their record now sits at 9-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. South Albany hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dallas struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
South Albany suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Dallas when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Redhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
