Bishop Ireton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amirah Anderson, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nyla Brooks, who scored 15 points.
Bishop Ireton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Westtown, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Bishop Ireton will square off against William Penn Charter at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. As for Westtown, they will face off against Sidwell Friends at 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.
