The Patel Trailblazers won the last time they faced the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Patel walked away with a 46-37 win over Zephyrhills Christian Academy.
Patel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from SIMARKAE MCLEAN, who scored 20 points along with three steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which MCLEAN has scored at least a third of Patel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of BELLA SMITH, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Patel has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Patel will face off against Seven Rivers Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Seven Rivers Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Patel likes a good challenge. Zephyrhills Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cambridge Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Cambridge Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
