Sadly, the Rock River Longhorns are still looking for their first win of the season after 12 games. They took a serious blow against Southeast on Saturday, falling 49-13. Rock River has struggled against Southeast recently, as their match on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than TJ Moats, who scored 11 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Desmond, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Rock River's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Southeast, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock River will take on HEM at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (HEM is ranked 63rd, while Rock River is ranked 66th). As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to take on Pine Bluffs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
