On the hitting side, Mackenzie Peck was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Avery Humphrey, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Stark County waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Spartans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Stark County also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Brooklynn Ostrowski gave up just two earned runs on 12 hits.
At the plate, Stark County's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Finnegan, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Stark County, their win bumped their record up to 10-11-1.
