After flying high against the Divine Savior Academy Sharks on Tuesday, the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles came back down to earth. Calvary Christian Academy fell just short of Atlantic Christian by a score of 40-37. Calvary Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Atlantic Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Calvary Christian Academy's lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camryn Kanell, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Staples, who scored 6 points along with 14 rebounds.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Atlantic Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Newman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
