The Willingboro Chimeras extended their postseason success on Friday against the Pleasantville Greyhounds. They really took it to the Greyhounds for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-29 victory on the road. The win was nothing new for Willingboro as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Willingboro found their leader in underclassman Lamar Best, who threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jarelle Taylor jr., who picked up 90 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Despite the defeat, Pleasantville saw an underclassman step up: Ahmad Jones rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Willingboro's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Pleasantville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Willingboro will face off against Point Pleasant Boro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Point Pleasant Boro is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Pleasantville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
