Despite the loss, California Military Institute saw an underclassman step up: Manuel Velasquez rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Velasquez hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
The Webb Schools got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaj Grayson out in front who threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Troy Seanoa, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
California Military Institute has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for The Webb Schools, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
