They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Rio Rancho Rams. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Isaac Brito, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Escobedo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
