The Kellogg Wildcats waltzed into Friday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Lakeside 46-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kellogg also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.
Kellogg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Coe, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals. Coe is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jordyn Stutzke was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Kellogg's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kellogg will take on Stevensville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeside, they will be playing at home against Clark Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
