The Greenwood Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 win over Little Rock Christian Academy. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Kane Archer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Archer hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Lj Robins, who picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Greenwood's win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.6 points per game. As for Little Rock Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Greenwood will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Benton at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Little Rock Christian Academy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on West Memphis at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th.
