Freedom has gone a perfect 7-0 against Osbourn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Osbourn couldn't beat Manassas Park last Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles came up short against the Cougars, falling 16-6. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 4-0 in the first period.
Lenell Evans put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Burke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that Burke has snagged this season.
Osbourn's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
