The Pepperell Dragons won the last time they faced the Praise Academy Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. Pepperell enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over Praise Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pepperell.
Pepperell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Lockwood, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Jai Dowdy, who scored 11 points.
Pepperell pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Praise Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pepperell will square off against Trion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trion is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Praise Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cherokee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Cherokee Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Praise Academy in Georgia (Cherokee Christian is ranked 114th, while Praise Academy is ranked 472nd).
