Basketball Recap: Bluffton Beats Adams Central for Their 11th Straight Win

Bluffton waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They breezed by the Adams Central Flying Jets to the tune of 70-33. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Isabella Stout, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 24 points. Her afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Konley Ault was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points and three steals.

Bluffton was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adams Central only racked up ten assists.

Several Flying Jets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kate Fisher, who posted 15 points. Fisher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Tenley Hendricks was another key player, putting up six points.

Bluffton's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Adams Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Bluffton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. After both having extra time off, Adams Central and Blue River Valley will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
