The Basha Bears can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 59-20 blowout they got on the road against Boulder Creek. That looming 59-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Basha yet this season.
Grace Beckler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for her. Audrey O'Connor was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Basha's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Boulder Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basha will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Perry at 5:30 p.m. on January 6th. Perry has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 183 points over their last three matches. Boulder Creek won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Xavier College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Xavier College Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boulder Creek in Arizona (Xavier College Prep is ranked second, while Boulder Creek is ranked 247th).
