The Berkmar Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 21st straight loss. They lost to Duluth on the road by a decisive 58-39 margin. Berkmar has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Duluth found their leader in underclassman Saniya Johnson, who scored 22 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Kaylie Zirger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Berkmar's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Duluth, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-16.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Discovery the next time they take the court. Duluth will host Discovery at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Berkmar will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
