Challenger can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 58-49 victory over Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Challenger to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braelon Roe, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Kendall Reinhardt, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Pinnacle Classical Academy 67-50. Given Christian Family Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Pinnacle Classical Academy is ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Challenger's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Christian Family Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Challenger was dealt a bruising 85-32 defeat at the hands of Christian Family Academy in their previous meeting back in February.
