The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 49-33 bruising from West Greene. Carmichaels was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Greene apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Lane Allison was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for West Greene. That makes it five consecutive games in which Allison has scored at least a third of West Greene's points. Parker Burns was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Carmichaels has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for West Greene, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Carmichaels does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Greene, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-44 win vs. Mapletown on the 9th.
