Even though the Richmond Bobcats scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Boothbay Seahawks still came out on top. Boothbay managed a 62-56 victory over Richmond. The victory was all the more spectacular given Boothbay's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Richmond is ranked 12th).
Finn Harkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Morley, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds.
Boothbay's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Richmond, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boothbay will take on Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Madison is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Richmond, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Islesboro Central at 3:30 p.m.
