Ballard has gone 8-2 against West Seattle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Beavers will venture away from home to square off against West Seattle at 4:00 p.m. Ballard will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Ballard had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Nathan Hale on Thursday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 12-2 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Anne Talbot and Grace Shiotani made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Talbot tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Shiotani struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Talbot went 1-for-2 with three runs, while Shiotani went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Katie Davis was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ruby Wallblom, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Ballard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nathan Hale only managed five.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 27 runs the game before, West Seattle was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to Garfield. West Seattle has struggled against Garfield recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
West Seattle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ballard, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Everything went Ballard's way against West Seattle when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Ballard made off with a 17-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
