New Palestine put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Yorktown Tigers 35-10. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Jacob Davis was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 233 yards and a pair of TDs on only 19 passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. New Palestine's leading receiver Landon Maddox was Davis' top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and one score.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something New Palestine proved: they limited Yorktown to a paltry 0.5 yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Sam Hirschy stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss). New Palestine didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.9.
