The South Pointe Griffins entered their tilt with the Glenview College Prep Mustangs with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. South Pointe came out on top against Glenview College Prep by a score of 66-58 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Prince Sohn was his usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with six assists and four steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of South Pointe's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
South Pointe's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Glenview College Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
South Pointe will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenview College Prep and ASU Prep will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
