The Belmont Charter Tigers will head out on the road to challenge Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
After a string of four wins, Belmont Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freire Charter. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Belmont Charter has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Bodine ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 victory over Sayre. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bodine has posted yet this season.
Belmont Charter's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Bodine, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7.
Belmont Charter didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bodine in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 77-71 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belmont Charter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
