The Prairie View Academy Spartans suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hillcrest Christian, falling 75-45. If Prairie View Academy hoped to take revenge for the 65-29 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
When it comes to explaining why Prairie View Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tollan Wallace. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace has scored all season. Mason Tullos was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Ryan Bradley, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Battle, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Prairie View Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season. As for Hillcrest Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Porter's Chapel Academy the next time they take the court. Prairie View Academy will host Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Hillcrest Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
