The Valdosta Wildcats won the last time they faced the Lee County Trojans, and things went their way on Monday too. Valdosta enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Lee County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Valdosta.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valdosta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jabarri Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Jenrette, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Josiah Parker and Braden Moore certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Parker dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Moore scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals. Parker is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Matthew Hardwick was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Valdosta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
Valdosta will head out on the road to take on Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colquitt County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Lee County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Houston County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Lee County likes a good challenge.
