Brillion hasn't had much luck against Valders recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brillion sitting on three straight victories and Valders on four.
On Monday, Brillion narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Southern Door 4-2.

Jocelyn Tamm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jana O'Connell, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Valders never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Sheboygan Falls. Considering the Vikings have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Megan Hochkammer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Hochkammer was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Valders got a big performance out of Arianna Hernandez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Makenna Kaderabek, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Valders hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheboygan Falls struck out 13 times.
Brillion's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Valders, their record is now 10-5.
Valders' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brillion has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .489. It's a different story for Valders, though, as they've only averaged .350. Will they be able to contain Brillion's hitters?
Brillion beat Valders 7-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
