The Granbury Pirates were the 60-22 winner over the Shoemaker Wolves when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Granbury took a serious blow against Shoemaker on Thursday, falling 75-7. While losing is never fun, Granbury can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 508th, while Shoemaker is ranked 142nd).
Shoemaker was led to victory by Johnathan Pompey and Tyrieke Wade. Pompey gained 164 total yards and three touchdowns, while Wade threw for 252 yards and six touchdowns while completing 94.4% of his passes. Jonathan Lahmann did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 51 receiving yards.
Granbury has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Shoemaker, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Granbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shoemaker also has no future games currently scheduled.
