The Prospect Cougars can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past McKenzie with points to spare, taking the game 50-32. The victory was just what Prospect needed coming off of a 54-25 defeat in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, McKenzie still got an impressive performance from Griffin Withalm, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. Withalm scored a full 43.8% of McKenzie's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Prospect's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for McKenzie, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Prospect will head out on the road to face off against New Hope Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (New Hope Christian is ranked 95th, while Prospect is ranked 97th). As for McKenzie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Camas Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
