The Crescent City Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the St. Joseph Academy Flashes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent City's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so St. Joseph Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Crescent City put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Warner Christian Academy 50-29. The victory was just what Crescent City needed coming off of a 46-16 defeat in their prior match.
Crescent City can attribute much of their success to Kirabella Williams, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zanarea Shelton, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins but they left with six. They managed a 47-43 victory over Merritt Island Christian.
Crescent City's record now sits at 6-2. As for St. Joseph Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Crescent City was dealt a bruising 48-16 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2015. Can Crescent City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
