Meanwhile, Sparta/Steeleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 34-22 to Carlyle.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dequan Woods, who picked up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 52 yards. Tyrell Charles got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Dupo's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sparta/Steeleville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
