Softball Recap: Desert Vista Has No Trouble Against Flowing Wells

While Desert Vista put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Flowing Wells. The Desert Vista Thunder were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Flowing Wells Caballeros. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by 15 runs or more this season.

Desert Vista let Mckenzie Leitgen and Ava Briski run wild. Leitgen scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Briski went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was Briski's first of the season. Jessa Rameriz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Desert Vista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .762. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Desert Vista's record is now 6-1. As for Flowing Wells, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Desert Vista didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-4 win against Casteel on the 28th. As for Flowing Wells, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Winslow on the 28th.
