On Saturday, Spring Grove blew past Postville, posting a 63-18 victory on the road. That looming 63-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Spring Grove yet this season.
Spring Grove found their leader in underclassman Kinley Soiney, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The match was Soiney's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Ingvalson, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Spring Grove and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Postville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Grove will take on Schaeffer Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Schaeffer Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday. Postville and Kee will face off at 6:15 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
