Fort Wayne Bishop Luers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Annika Davis out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Davis hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Wareing, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.
Bluffton's loss came despite strong showings from Konley Ault and Isabella Stout. Ault scored 15 points along with two steals, while Stout scored nine points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Stout posted two or more blocks. Maryn Schreiber was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Bluffton, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Whitko will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
