The Hooper Academy Colts fell victim to the Lowndes Academy Rebels''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Rebels. While losing is never fun, Hooper Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while Lowndes Academy is ranked 129th).
Hooper Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Lowndes Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Hooper Academy will head out on the road to face off against Patrician Academy at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Lowndes Academy, they will be playing at home against Sparta Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparta Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
