Having just played yesterday, the Boulder Creek Jaguars will get right back to it and host the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Boulder Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 304 points over their last four matches.
On Wednesday, Boulder Creek really took it to Westwood for the full four quarters, racking up a 85-30 victory at home. With Boulder Creek ahead 55-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Boulder Creek found their leader in underclassman Brayden Newton, who scored 33 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleks Beshku, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge had to suffer through a rough 84-35 loss at the hands of Basha. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain Ridge in their matchups with Basha: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Mountain Ridge got a solid performance out of Andy Saeva, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Saeva's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Thompson, who scored 8 points.
Their wins bumped Boulder Creek to 4-1 and Westwood to 3-4.
Boulder Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Ridge in their previous matchup back in January, winning 67-60. Does Boulder Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mountain Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
