Basketball Recap: St. Brendan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ransom Everglades

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Brendan). They walked away with a 50-39 victory over the Ransom Everglades Raiders on Thursday. For the Sabres, this counts as revenge for the 55-53 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

St. Brendan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bella Perez out in front who posted 15 points. Claudia Luis was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Holly Clement and Luisa Duarte certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Clement put up ten points and five rebounds, while Duarte had six points and four steals. That's the most points Duarte has posted since back in December of 2023.

The win (which was St. Brendan's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. As for Ransom Everglades, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

St. Brendan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-19 loss against Mater Academy Charter on the 9th. As for Ransom Everglades, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-43 victory against Westminster Christian on the 7th.
