Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rebekah Bass and Sara Larios were among the main playmakers for Asheville Christian Academy as the former went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and the latter posted 13 points and four steals. That's the most points Bass has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Fuchs, who put up seven points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Carolina Day had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They took down the Griffins 62-44. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Asheville Christian Academy better focus on containing Layla Hunter and Amy Rhymer as the pair were huge in Carolina Day's win. Hunter shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Rhymer shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. Hunter has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played. Selah Frisbee was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.
Carolina Day's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Asheville Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Asheville Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Carolina Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging 47.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
