The home team had come away the winner the last six times St. Joseph and Staples had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cadets fell  3-1 to the Wreckers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cadets of the  3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
 St. Joseph started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-18, 25-15,  25-9.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Staples,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 3-4 record.
 Looking ahead, St. Joseph will challenge Danbury at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Cadets are facing the Hatters at the right time seeing as the Hatters are stuck on  a  seven-game losing streak. Staples does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
