The Brunswick Pirates came tearing into  Saturday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Hilton Head Christian Academy with a  48-44 victory.
  Shanyece Quick was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 17 points and ten  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lauryn Walker, who  scored nine points along with ten  rebounds.
 Hilton Head Christian Academy's loss  came despite strong showings from  Morgan Scott and  Devon Yarde.  Scott  scored 13 points along with six  rebounds and four  steals, while  Yarde  scored 20 points along with three  steals. Yarde is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games she's  played.
 Brunswick is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brunswick will take on Effingham County at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Effingham County is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Hilton Head Prep at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant  guards against one another:  Courtney Campbell and  Tamya Hutchinson.
